Hector Colón-Miranda, DC, MSHAPI
PrEP Director
Dr. Hector Colón-Miranda is the PrEP director for AIDS Care Group and oversees operations for ACG’s satellite office in Reading, PA. Dr. Hector received his Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) & master’s in human anatomy and physiology instruction (MSHAPI) degrees from New York Chiropractic College. He has been working at AIDS Care Group since 2012. As a chiropractor, Dr. Hector is passionate about healthy habits and overall wellness. Currently he sits on the LGBTQ+ advisory board for Mosaic Medical Clinic and is committed to bringing LGBTQ+ specific healthcare to Delaware County. With years of experience in preventative care, he provides a wealth of knowledge and leadership to AIDS Care Group’s prevention program. AIDS Care Group is committed to ending the HIV epidemic through virus suppression and decrease in new HIV infections. Dr. Hector’s team focuses in educating the community in safe sex practices and HIV prevention.

Tyrik Dean
PrEP Navigator
Tyrik has years of experience in the care outreach and prevention counseling fields. Tyrik has assessed and referred target demographics and other individuals at risk for HIV infection with linkage to PrEP, NPEP and other supportive services, as well as educated clients on identifying and reducing risk factors associated with HIV transmission. He is a certified HIV tester/counselor as well as certified phlebotomist. Tyrik is currently enrolled in Thomas Jefferson University’s Behavioral and Health Services accelerated bachelor’s degree program. Coupled with years of experience working with community members to address their behavioral and sexual healthcare needs, he possesses the tools necessary to seek out and implement resources into an effective plan of action. Tyrik has a passion for the performing arts. In his spare time, he operates a dance studio he owns in Delaware county.

ACG is a non-profit public health organization that is committed to the treatment and prevention of disease. We provide medical care, dental care, and social services to uninsured and underinsured residents of the Philadelphia area. We are the largest and most comprehensive HIV/AIDS service providers in the area. Our mission also includes care and services to those living with or at risk for STIs, Hepatitis and chronic health issues including substance abuse and mental illness. Our offices are located in the eastern and western portions of Delaware County, and we offer evening and weekend hours for easier access to care.
